Why Vaccines Are Harmful: What You Need to Know
“The only safe vaccine is a vaccine that is never used.”
These are the words of Dr. James Shannon, formerly of the National Institutes of Health, and they couldn’t be more accurate.
We’ve been led to believe that vaccines are the cornerstone of disease prevention, but in truth, there’s no such thing as a “safe” vaccine. In fact, even scientists are still scrambling to make them not just safe, but effective and they haven’t succeeded in either area. Far from preventing illness, vaccines often set up the body for autoimmune disorders. They do the exact opposite of what they were intended to do.
The Vaccination Myth
I recently had a client who took her dog to the vet for a routine check-up. The vet told her to pick up her dog and not let her walk on the floor, because there was another dog in the clinic with parvo. My client, knowing her dog had never been vaccinated, replied, “Oh, she’s current on her shots; she should be fine,” just to see the vet’s response. The vet’s answer? “It doesn’t matter; she can still get it.”
Wait, what?! If vaccines truly immunized, how could a vaccinated dog still catch the virus? This is the crux of the vaccine issue: they don’t work the way we’re told they do.
Financial Motivation Behind Vaccines
Let’s face it—vaccinations are a money-making machine. Vets, pharmaceutical companies, and organizations profit from this system.
I once found a vet laughing online about how easy it was to make money by vaccinating pets. She even called us “lambs lined up for the slaughter” because we so willingly believe in the necessity of vaccines. Imagine that—a vet openly mocking her clients for doing what they thought was right.
Veterinary Experts Speak Out
Not all vets are on board with the vaccine train. In fact, many have come forward to warn us about the dangers. Dr. Stephen Blake emphasizes that there is no scientific evidence proving that annual vaccines are necessary or even beneficial. The over-vaccination of pets is leading to a toxic overload in their systems, causing everything from cancer to autoimmune disorders.
Dr. Jean Hofve echoes this sentiment, stating that pets today are sick due to poor breeding, poor nutrition, and toxic overload, which is largely due to over-vaccination.
The Danger of Rabies Vaccines
By law, rabies vaccines are mandatory, so yes, I do give my dogs this vaccine, but not without preparing their bodies first. I supplement them before the vaccine and detox them after to minimize the harm. You can read more about my detox process on my Detox Page.
Luckily, most of my clients delay the rabies vaccine as long as possible since it’s known to be one of the most harmful vaccines. I have never had a sick adult dog, and the one time two of my dogs did develop a cough, potentially kennel cough, it never spread.
Vaccine Side Effects: The Unseen Toll
It’s not just about the risk of an allergic reaction or a bad day after vaccination. Vaccines can cause long-term harm. Dr. Larry Glickman, D.V.M., found in his research that vaccines can lead to autoimmunity, where a pet’s immune system attacks its own tissues. These autoimmune reactions target vital organs like the heart, thyroid and red blood cells.
And what about the connection to cancer? Dr. Martin Goldstein, D.V.M., explains that vaccines stress the immune system, leaving pets more vulnerable to cancer. He states unequivocally that vaccines are one of the leading causes of cancer in pets today.
My Personal Journey with Vaccines and Autism
I’m writing this page not just for pet owners, but also for parents. Although my youngest child had autism and epilepsy, he was never vaccinated. However, I’ve spoken to countless families who saw their children develop autism or other disorders shortly after being vaccinated. While environmental factors played a role in my son’s health issues, the evidence linking vaccinations to autism and other conditions is undeniable.
Why Non-Vaccinated Dogs Are Different
I can tell you from experience—there is a world of difference between vaccinated and non-vaccinated dogs. My non-vaccinated dogs are calm, sweet, and well-adjusted. They aren’t terrified of fireworks or loud noises and they don’t exhibit obsessive behaviors like constant barking, paw licking, or spinning in circles.
One of my favorite realizations is that non-vaccinated dogs aren’t neurotic like so many others I see. I used to let customers bring their dogs to my home when they picked up their new puppy and my kids would immediately notice how neurotic these dogs were compared to ours. Most pet owners just accept these behaviors as “normal” when, in fact, they are not, they’re common, but they’re not normal.
Making an Informed Decision
I know this is a lot to take in, and it’s probably raising more questions than answers, but I encourage you to keep thinking about what you’ve read here. Vaccines do more harm than good. If you want a truly healthy dog, find a non-vaccinated puppy from non-vaccinated parents and grandparents. It really does make a difference.
Remember, I’m not asking you to listen to me, I’m asking you to listen to what veterinarians themselves are saying. Do your own research, and most importantly, make the decision that feels right for you and your pet.
